We are a Non-Profit organization that operates exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of section 501(C)(3) of Internal Revenue. The purpose of SCTC is to teach vocational and leadership skills.
Mission
Second Chance Training Center, Inc., is a group of Latino women and men focused on the empowerment of people who are experiencing financial difficulties, gender discrimination, ethnic discrimination, or lack basic educational opportunities. SCTC will provide these individuals with a second chance to earn a welding certificate or other certificates through high-quality education and training.
Vision
Providing gender-equal opportunities for all individuals to achieve high levels of quality education with the ultimate goal of attaining better economic positions for not only all blue-collar workers but also for all creative entrepreneurs.
OUR HISTORY
Second Chance Training Center, Inc., was established in May 2022 as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization by Carolina Diaz, a Materials Engineer born in Mexico, to empower women and men experiencing financial difficulties, gender discrimination, ethnic discrimination, and lack of access to fundamental educational opportunities.
Second Chance Training Center is here to help financially challenged Latino and non-Latino women and men gain access to welding skills and other trades.
